Article for the graphic design journal Dot Dot Dot that looks at the unexpected connections between the use of abstraction by the Bauhaus and the early avant-garde and the graphic techniques deployed by early American hardcore bands of the 1980s like The Germs and Black Flag. In the process, the article rereads Mr. Keedy's "Zombie Modernism," through Deleuze, as a positive term.
