The Uneditor

A conversation in Dot Dot Dot 18 with the textual scholar Randall McLeod. Over the course of a thirty-year career McLeod's work on early printed books and manuscripts has attended to the materiality of texts.

With the aid of his invention, the McLeod Portable Collator, he has argued for the primacy of material evidence and the value of "unediting" for both textual scholarship and interpretation.
